Added a winch and some stickers...about to order me some driveshafts, or may just end up robbing them off my spare SCX.

Lol re the driveshafts. Drinking straws would probably hold up better than the stock shafts. I'm perpetually amused by that given how robust most of the rest of the kit is.

Yeah, definitely not a great part of the kit lol, well I found some spare Traxxas shafts lying around and decided to try them. Seem to hold up better!!

So, the input shaft of the transfer case broke about 90 seconds into my first trail run...has anyone else had this problem?

I think I've seen one other person with that issue. Definitely send RC4WD a picture and explanation. They're very good about making things right (although it sometimes takes a few days for them to get back to you). For what it's worth, I wasn't crazy about the design of the hard coupler from tranny to transfer case, because I was concerned that any slight misalignment could stress the joints at either end. When you put it back together with the replacement, it's probably worth checking the alignment and then maybe not quite cranking the set screws all the way so that there's at least a little give.

Also, FWIW, Traxxas drive shafts should hold up okay. The steel punishers from RC4WD are also very good.

Oh really? I must just be that lucky lol. I sent them an email Friday, still haven't gotten a response. I joined the RC4WD forum and posted something about it on there, maybe it will catch their attention. I'm just using the Traxxas ones right now just because I had a full pack of them lying around lol, eventually it will get either some MIP's or some of the Junfacs.

Looks awesome! Glad they hooked you up with another set of T case shafts! Let us know how the first real run goes.

They actually just sent me a whole new tcase, apparently they've made different hammer cases...some have 2 piece shafts and some have the 1 piece shaft/gear set.

That's sick! Nice work! If only they made a '91 Nissan D21 Hardbody body on the TF2 chassis. Then I would have no choice other than to get it; I LOVE the realism of the kit, just never really liked Toyota trucks. Much prefer Nissan over Toyota.
Happy Thankgiving, and happy crawling!
