| My attempt at building a TF2
Finally got this thing in the mail and this is about how far I got along last night. I'm going attempt to build it as scale as possible, which will be a first for me since I used to care more about performance than scale. So not my first build, just my first scale build. |

Right now, just the stock 1.55 wheels and tires with the Mojave body( with the machined f/r RC4WD bumpers). The electronics are going to be the Tekin FXR w/ 35T HW Tekin, Spektrum RX/TX, maybe some WP Hitec servos if I can get them at a good price, and a 3racing winch. I'm just going to build it close to stock for right now and see how it does and go from there. |

I am thinking about doing a half-door setup on the body, can't find the thread right now but someone has done it and it looked very good...so I'm going to attempt it lol. The paint will be a matte black with a factory silver stripe kit if I can find one.

Alright, got the rolling chassis completed...now just waiting on my Hitec WP servos to come in and then start the electronics. Also got the body out and just mounted it to see what I've got to work with Sitting with the SCX |

Also mounted the front and rear RC4WD bumpers, in the process of mounting my 3racing winch to the front. |

Looking good! Start painting that yellow body while you're resting. |

Looking good. You can never go wrong with black; it matches everything. Plus the screws for the body don't show as much.

| Re: My attempt at building a TF2 well i would say in real life you can never go wrong with black but with my lexan jk body i don't want to paint it black because then the fenders and roof won't really show but anyway, black 'lux = epic

Looks good, I like the flex you run just single stock leafs? And is that just the tire or star cut the foam?

Finally updating this, don't really work on this thing much anymore...just randomly got the urge to and now she isn't very far from running! Still needs more scale touches, but not bad right now. I think the list of what i have done to it since the last update is as follows : - Finished wiring, using deans micro plugs for the winch and some braided loom I had left over from the Miata - Stripe kit, which I messed up on one side..but it was my first install lol - Tough armor sliders, makes it easier to pick up And I think that's it, still going to update as I progress, which is pretty slow considering my work schedule and my 1:1 vehicles! |
