Default Ol Red, my C1 build OG scx10 with Ground hawgs!

Well I havent posted in a long time, didnt have anything really post worthy. Im getting hooked on R/C again and decided I wanted to build a class one Scaler. Its my first time working with styrene so dont be to harsh lol I built the front bumper myself out of steel, gonna make some rock sliders and rear bumper also. Im getting it ready for the Fall Brawl at the Guru Compound. Its my first Rc Crawling comp and Im super excited.

Update, I was working like crazy to get this ready for my first comp, the Guru Fall Brawl. First thing was to build a mount for the chassis mounted servo. I just added a couple bits to my bumper to turn it into a bumper/servo mount/winch mount.

speaking of winches, I built one out of a old 3003 servo, however I am looking to upgrade, as its not the most powerful winch right now

Did some more work on the interior and got me a driver. also whipped up some inner fenders out of styrene, did I mention I love this stuff??

I needed a mount for my esc, so I made a fuelcell/gas tank mount for it in the back

The night before the comp at 1 in the morning, finally ready to go! and go it did, I got second place out of 25 very well built trucks, I was stoked! Ill post pics of the comp if I find any later

Lookin good so far...

If you want a better servo for a winch, try the Solar 772 from Hobbypartz.com I have been using one for over a year and it's got beef.....lots and lots of beef...

and thats with out an external bec.....

Really cheap and really strong.....

Also, on mine I used a sewing bobbin for the reel. Also cheap and can be had @ walmart....

Thanks, Ill have to give that servo a try. I made my own reel because I wanted the winch to be fast. the servo winches with bobbins are slower because the inner diameter of the reel is smaller. Thats why I made my inner diameter so big

I really like em, seem to good, bout the same as my buddys flat irons, Only difference was on a cold day, it got about 30 degrees and the grip on the hawgs went down alot.

Im working towards having this ready to go for ECSC this year. Ive always wanted to do a drop bed, and since its cold and nasty out, I figured now would be as good of a time as any. Plus I need all the scale points I can get. I really need to get some faster setting glue. this Krazy glue is a big pain in the ass Only managed to get the wheel wells done so far.

Before

What did I just do??? No turning back now

Wheel wells in
