| Bronc's GMC pickup
Ok time for a new c1 build this will be replacing my g2 jk . I'm hoping to end up with a more capable rig but still keep my scale points up .. my choice was easy because my buddy Geoff (dirty fingers ) has made some cool stuff out of the clod body so i let him do the dirty work All his work on the body... 1st time in the new shop ... Custom grill , drop bed , dash , light buckets paint.. This grill is sweet so much detail ..all started from a flat pc of styrene Close up the guys are sizing her up to fit wide axles... |

Working on chassis..toysuzki low cog motor mount ..HH revolution stubby to test ..TSS skid..Mip dig shaft..32p spur set up from yeti don't ask how I did it lol..harley has a better video HD gears in trans keeping plastic case and front towers to help save weight..might even swap the mip for plastic if i find some cheap...i forgot to mention maybe but i plan to have this rig low weight as possible 5 lbs I'm aiming for... |

Ok little hiccup the terra mod axle has interface with this motor mount the link will definitely hit.. so I'm thinking i have options i have different axles or motor mount to use ..but I'd like to keep the axles with this gmc truck but at the same time I really wanted leafs in the rear and i didn't want to cut up the truss on the gcm axle to putt leafs ..we shall see .. To be continued.... |

I'm looking at flipping it now..i think it can work with some modifications ..I'm actually thinking about notching the chassis to allow mount to be left alone still might need 2nd brace to mount..will see ...

The motor mount is keyed to the chassis for that orientation, you can flip it by grinding the keyed tangs to fit in the opposite direction but it will then require a strut rod for motor mount to chassis or suitable locatio. To keep the motor mount for rocking. Is it not possible to flip the axle and change the rotation of the r/p ? That would negate needing to flip the motor mount would it not. |

Ok so i went and flipped the motor mount and trans ..looks to be a go I only counter sinked the opposite side so blots can be flat .. i had this great ideal where I'd notch the chassis but didn't think about the weakness it would bring so i might need new rails .. will see maybe I'll patch weld something on to brace chassis ..ether way I'd feel better adding a brace to motor mount somewhere to prevent tilt .. Nothing set in stone yet I'll have to mock up and tear down making ajustments when needed. But as you can see I did swap the mip driveshafts for hd wild bores ..one came from my yeti parts bag other 2 on rpp salvage...I'm hope they hold... yeti parts bag had some short ends a cut down more to make my own dig shaft.. Rc4wd clod fender flares with locked up hardware where also added to help fit wide axles.. Arnold likes the Dinky rc rear cantilever setup...I'm still unsure Looks to be in spec to me... |

I probably should of just ground down the tangs on the mount and added a brace ..because now I need a brace and fix my chassis that i cut | |

Ok where did i leave off.. wanted this done for scale nationals in denver but it didn't happen so i got held back on the build.after fixing the rigs that had it rough out on the rocks....but where back at it hoping to be ready for knk c1 in June ... so i mounted the body cool Hinged action eazy access I should patient this but ya been done I'm sure ...works great with TSS front bumper and clod body .. brackets i made file hand drill.. Coat of black paint and bolt on clod.. scary bracket that works .. Cab sitting on bracket cab has alum angle to catch pins .. A flick of the finger is all it takes to get her hood up actually she's i little bent and crooked so it's a tight fit and that helps keep it snug in place.. |
