Thanks! For tires I'm going with some 1.9 Fun Countrys. I wanted to stay with the 1.5's but I need wheels high a positive offset so they'll tuck under the fender flares nicely. Problem being the choices are pretty limited in 1.55's so I'll go with so 1.9 Gmade SR02's like these but in black so they will look smaller. I think they look pretty scale. Updates this weekend. As I expected finding wheels with a high enough positive offset to tuck under the fenders is proving to be difficult especially since i'd like to run 1.5's. In the past week or so I've bought three sets of wheels: 1.9 Gmade SR02: +2.0mm offset 1.55 Gear Head UTE's: -1.9mm offset 1.9 Rc4wd Pro10: -7.8mm offset (way too much offset) The SR02's fit well but I don't really like the look and the UTE's rub my Axial HD knuckle so I'd have to space them out which doesn't look right either. I'm currently looking at the new SSD pro knuckles because they look like the would allow me to run the UTE's without them rubbing. We'll see. |

Looks good!, on wheels what about Gmade VR01's? They have the backspacing but look like classic 4x4 wheels, if you paint just the outer edge black they should look smaller. I like the way it looks on the stompers only thing I might change is leaf spring the rear.

sure why not lol just take two little L brackets to go from where the link brackets are to top of axle tubes. That or clamp on bracket like rc4wd T rex 60's or U bolts like 1:1 and sawback use.

Cool. I'll probably just keep it linked. Leaf springs would limit the suspension and ruin the pinion angle causing the drive shafts to bind. Last edited by Killa-Cotton; 10-10-2015 at 08:42 PM. |

Ok, I finally got the wheels and tires figured out. Ended up ordering a set of 1.9 SSD Assassin's. They have a +1.5mm offset which will work. For tires I'll either run the 1.9 Cepek FC II's or 1.9 Dirt Grabbers. Actually I think the Grabbers will look great and go with the stock Bronco theme. Should have everything in hand by Friday morning so tomorrow I'm going to work on installing the esc and motor. I made an electronics plate from .060 black styrene and mounted it starting from the shock tower and moving forward to the front of the truck. I even cut it around the servo and inset it so it fits flush with the chassis. It looks nice. I'll snap some pics and post them in the morning.

Couple of current pics. Finally got the wheels and tires narrowed down to two. The UTE's are smaller and of course more scale but the offset makes them a little wider than i like. The SSD's have a better offset but look to large to me. I'll post a pics of the UTE's installed in a few. 1.55 Gear Head UTE's with LURC hardware and Cepek Fun Country tires 1.9 SSD Assassins with 1.9 Cepek FC-II tires |

Coming along great, I just got done building a 1.5 Bronco so I feel the pain with the limited wheel and tires choices in that size. I ended up going with the RC4WD White Wagon wheels and Pitbull Brawlers but also have a set of the 1.9 RC4WD black wagon wheels with the Dirt Grabber tires to change to.
