| daniels needs a home for a 500kv ROC 412 or Suzuki Jimny goes RECON G6
I dedicate this thread to my stories with my little Tamiya Suzuki Jimny ;) Since about one year I was fascinated by the options the 500KV ROC 412 would give to Road Car based Scale Rigs like my loved Traxxas 1/16 based Nissan Titan "The Independent" But I never really liked CC01 - and then came Jimny - affordable and technology that reminds me of my Tamiya Cup days. What could possible go wrong. Last edited by daniels; 11-06-2015 at 11:14 PM. |

So a kit was ordered and the build went pretty straight forward - as I wanted a car to beat hard - I only invested about 3 minutes for painting the body. After the car was built it was clear - that for my goal to finish a RECON G6 I would need a little bigger wheels. 96mm Dirt Grabbers showed to be far to big - so I purchased a set of 1.55 Baja MTZ on Steelies that look perfect to me. While I still was waiting for my 500 KV Tekin ROC 412 I tried a 55t. And it didn't work for me - I had very bad results with higher than 55 Turn Motors in the past. The correct CVD's could be found when looking for M05/M06 parts ;) |

The Motor is here! You can see a little Video here: (even if you are not on Facebook) https://www.facebook.com/stonerocker...7077826364070/ Today i also drove outside and after some testing I am now convinced that 3S will be a better choice the 2S. It is a very smooth setup - we will see how it feels when I got more time to drive it. |

With the expierence gained with my Traxxas Scaler - it was clear that belly clearance could be joker with the high drive shaft chassis. After a lot of thinking - I finally did it and cut the lower part of the chassis away! Biggest Bonus: Servo is now much easier to access! What do you think? Next up real dampers and a winch.. |

The clearance below the Diff is now more than on my SCX-10 with 120mm Falken tires ;)

Show us an underneath shot of the chassis. Did it weak the chassis?

I will provide that shot a little later! Yes it is a little weaker - but with a little reinforcements it will be good! The car is driveable - but I fear not very stress resistent at the moment! |

Nice! The last attempt of a road car at a RECON G6 failed. My TT-01 died at the Recon G6 in Erzberg. I hope you are the first person to officially finish a recon G6 with a road car :-) |

Yesterday I installed a Tekin B1R as a Winchcontroller - my winch is now also powered by 3s. With a final weight of well below 2000gramms the normal winch should do just fine! https://www.facebook.com/stonerocker...9086399496546/ Last edited by daniels; 11-02-2015 at 07:21 AM. |

Hi, I am still not sure if I will mount the cage on the body or the chassis! Still needs some trimming anyway. Cheers Daniel |

On stiffing the frame the most simple idea would be to make "links" from the rear gearbox to old battery tray - but I would loose some belly clearance again! Still planing ... | |
