Hi everyone

This is just a very short presentation of my actual build, a Tamiya CC-01 Honda CR-V. Nothing dramatic but since the body has become quite rare nowadays I thought it might be worth to show it here.

Ok so that's how I bought and got it delivered: The body in good shape, but the color was not exactly ma taste. Also I started to build a new chassis, vastly stock but with some decent mods like steering, cvd's, locked diffs, upgraded Tamiya shocks and of course the ball bearings..

As I still am an awful painter I brought the body to my local professional painter to get a nice green metallic with bumpers and door panels in black mate. I stripped the windshield and interior from a toy rc car (LR3 from Rasta, exclusively ordered from China to be cut into pieces

and glued the parts into the Tamiya ABS body.

The driver had to be made out of some flexible stuff since I wanted him to hold a moving steering wheel (which is linked to a micro servo behind the dash).

The rear lights where a bid tricky to get in. I had to cut holes behind the covered glass and used diffusors to get a more or less realistic picture:

The front lights are just 5mm LEDs plugged in.

Now let's take it out in the woods as long as the weather is still good enough for taking some shoots..

The driver is looking forward to his first test ride

The tires btw are mickey thompson 1.55 baja mtz. I think they are fitting quite nicely under the body.
