Oh ok, maybe these pics will help. This is how I did mine.

When I cut the bed floor out I made my cut in the middle of the stock bed sides. Then I got the bed floor sitting how I wanted it. Next I glued these pieces of thick styrene (the green lines point to them) to the four corners.

Next I made my bulkhead for the bed, attached it and temporarily attached the tailgate. Then I sat the bed down over the supports (still green arrow) so they touched the inside of the bed rails (purple line) Then trimmed the supports down till the bed sat where I wanted it to height wise. Then glued the top of the bed sides to the supports.

From there I made the inner bed sides from plastic card.
Hope that helps. If I can answer anymore questions I will do my best.

Thanks. As I person who started driving in the 90's I have a rather soft spot for those styles.

The tailgate, tail lights, and bed liner are now painted.

The tailgate is painted tow tone just like the bed except that that the center section is painted to look like the brushed aluminum trim that some fords have across the tailgate (can't see it well in the first pic).

Back of the tailgate.

And all together and sitting on the truck's chassis.

Bed liner shots. I had a slight problem with the texture paint in a couple of places but I don't think it is that noticeable especially after the inside of the bed is detailed out.

Next up I will start the body work on the cab.
Thanks for looking.

Thank you. Must confess though, I did not air brush on the brushed aluminum. It is straight from a rattle can.

This is turning out to be a good looking truck. Like the bed work. Did you use bed liner paint. I have used it before and it works great.
I use it on my lexan bodies in the bed and down on the lower side of the body. Just have to put multiple light coats on.

I have never used bed liner paint before so I was afraid would have been to thick, so I didn't try it. Instead I used Rust-oleum multicolor grey texture paint and then covered it in semi-gloss black.

Will have to keep that in mind. Thanks for the tip.

I have started working on the cab.
Started filling in the back of the cab so it fits tighter around the transmission. Also smoothing out the back of the cab corners.

A light coat of primer and filler added.

On the hood I added a small strip of styrene to the front of the scoop to make it look more like an opening than it does.
Also made a piece to fill in the hole in the cowl panel.

Hope to get the whole cab painted by the end of the week. More updates to come.
Thanks for looking.

Bodywork progressing. Low spots disappearing, high spots appearing.

Time for another coat of primer and another skim coat of bondo.

That scoop look awesome. What brand of paint and primer are you using. Can't wait to see finished product.

Thank you. For paints and primers I use cheap rattle cans to be honest. My primer and red paint is Home Shades paint and the gloss white is Wal-Mart brand. I use it because it is what I can get local so if I need more in the middle of a job I can just run out real quick and pick it up.

I have finished the body work on the cab. Hope to get the chance to paint the cab this coming weekend.

I finished up the white...

And after 24 hours of drying time it is time for some red.

After the red dries I will unmask it and move on to the next the step.

And the cab is painted. Guess with the lowish temps 24hrs wasn't long enough for the white to dry thoroughly. The tape left faint impressions in it on the hood and roof. So I masked off along the red and reshot a light coat across the top.

When I went to reinstall the grill I realized that I forgot to paint the bottom edge of it and the screws that hold it in place. I have the first coat of primer on them now.
Now to finish the grill and paint the details on the cab.

Really nice work Prime. We are going to have to hook up sometime for some tiny truck fun.

Thank you.
I think we met once many many years ago in Flatwoods, I think, could be mistaken. But always up for a truck run. This summer I am hoping to get in some runs with the League of Scale Builders and the Clay/Kanawha Crawlers.

The bottom of the grill and mounting screws are now painted red.

Here is the grill mounted and the body sitting on the frame. The side molding are painted as is the window trim, door handles, and scoop opening.

And this arrived in the mail the other day. I plan to have a driver and an interior. Since the interior will not be real visible through the tinted glass it will be kept simple and not overly detailed.

That's it for now, more to come in the near future (I hope).

Sweet! Got a link to your build?

Cool, just had thought we had.

Good news is that I got more finished on the truck. Got the electronics box mounted. Had to get this into place first so I
could see how far it intruded into the interior.

Speaking of the interior here is just the start of it. Like I said before, not going for a hyper detailed interior. Just something
passible since the truck has dark tinted windows you won't be able to see the details anyways. The hump on the side will
cover the battery. I will disguise it some how.

And test fitted with the driver. I still need to shorten him up a little more.

Stay tuned, more to come.
