Default Mojave 1.55

Howdy all!!!

I am in the middle of my 1.55 build and was hoping for some input on body mounting. I am looking for ideas, tricks and tips for mounting a RC4WD Mojave body on to a SCX10 chassis.

Here is the chassis:

And here is the body. The picture was take just after I had cleaned it, it is now in my paint booth, recovering from the latest round of paint...

Thanks!

One of my first projects was converting the AX10 into a scale trail rig with a hilux body. If I had to do it over again, I would create a bracket for the stock Mojave body mounts.
I would suggest Not drilling body post holes in the hood. Sooner or later you will regret it. Quick and easy it is but ruins the scale look, IMO. I've seen a lot of folk bolt a U-bracket to the frame and Velcro the body down. Others have used magnets to hold it in place. Another kat hinged the rear end and had a small post under the grill holding the front.

these a spare hole in the back of the chassis use the rear body posts from an axial jeep body
go through the extras from the axial parts tree there's a weird body post thing with a screw hole in the side screw on the inside of the chassis at the back the weird body post mounts things
ream the 2 holes in the back of the tray a little
place the scx10 body jeep mounts with the body mounts facing to the back
now the holes are so close its not funny
and the front just used the standard scx10 body mounts
thats if the cab has the 2 holes in the bonnet
