| Class 1 tire question
I've been looking over the rules for the different scale classes. My leaf-spring converted scx-10 chassis could be adopted to work nicely inside of the class 1 rules. What tires are you guys using? I've seen some 1.55 Pitbulls that are at 4.19 inches tall. I've also noticed that the rc3wd Mickey Thompson MTZ's are right at the height limit for class 1. Another other tires worth considering? |

I like the 1.7 iroks (4.19); they stretch nicely onto 1.9 wheels, and with CI single-stage foams, work pretty damn well.

I have had success with the RC4WD 4.19 Baja Claw TTC. It is a 1.9 wheel class 1 tire. I paired it with a set of dual stage CI foams and they hook up great!

The rc4wd genius tires work great, and you can't go wrong with the growlers either.

I just mounted up a set of DC Extreme Country 1.9s and I think they are going to be a solid choice. The tread pattern is rather open with deep lugs for a C1 tire and the new compound is definitely more soft and sticky than the old X2SS (and more so than even the komp compound Growlers that were previously on my truck). Downside is they are really wide for a 4.19 inch tire which may not work for some builds. |

Thanks for all of the replies. I keep eye balling those new VooDoo tars, I might have to loosen my grip on some coins and get a set when they become available. |
