Default YJ cfx build for traveling

Hi guys.
This build started in January when my wife bougt me cfx for the new year gift. I was looking for a chassi that is easy to take in a hand luggage to the business trip. Cfx is tiny and perfectly fits the purpose Searching for the body I've found some great yj builds here and decided to give it a go with mine.

I will mostly use cfx stock parts except wheels, tires and shocks.

Electronics for the build:
Savox 1256
HW Justock ESC
HW Justock 17.5T motor
Castle 10A BEC

Chassis came together in a couple of days with rare brakes for work

As I hate cutting plastic I've decided to work on the roller first.

Black 1.55s have been chosen for the build

I didn't want to keep servo on the axle so my friend printed me the new mount. Now it's laying under the motor.

Panhard mounted to the axle shock mount and custom cut bracket on the chassis.

Fitting the body. Yes, I've got the right wheelbase

Then comes the least exciting part, cutting-sanding-cutting-sanding...

Body will be mounted on magnets in the front and brackets in the rear

Small details

rear body mounts left before we can paint

looks like tires aren't tall enough..

Plastic was quite hard to form this way so I used 0.8 aluminum and painted it mat black

Then partially paint head lights

Finally, bourbon jerrican took its place

I'd better speed up to get to the current progress

Battery mount.
As I'm going to build interior and there is a lack of space I can put all the planned stuff, I will use shorty pack and put it in the frame rails, as low as I can.
Again, tray is made of painted 0.8 aluminum

I wanted yj look mean so I bougt slingers

For the rock sliders I decided to use the mst cfx-w ones. Grinded them "a bit" and installed

Rideheight will change after it gain all the weight.
Scale gmade 80mm rsd shocks are in. Belive me, they are, even if don't see them well

Bumpers

I wasn't lucky to find any aftermarket bumpers that have proper width, so I decided to fabricate them

lazer-cut 10mm aluminum

Then comes printed radiator

all the electronics will be located in the front

Thanks! It's going to be heavier so I just wait until I put all the components inside. Then I'll fine tune rideheight.

Great looking Jeep. What kind of printer is making your 3D printed stuff?
