Not sure if I'm the only one to notice this or not but the "dark green" truck they offer, to me, looks more like a dark gunmetal. Or at least that was my though when I unboxed mine.

I looked on eBay yesterday evening, and now there are loads of these trucks, almost all going for $48 + free shipping. I actually spent a little more using Banggood. |

It appears there are two slightly different versions available. The original by 'WPL' which comes in a khaki or grey and then this one by 'HENLONG' which comes in an actual army green. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?m...2F292265704910 Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk |

This was mentioned in one of the 3-4 threads about them. I couldn't remember the brand of 'clone' maker though. The HENLONG appears to be a superior product looking at the pics. Check the winch out.

Did you cut them any? I gave up trying to get them to stay centered with the foam. I tried them on using some old Trail Trekker wheels. They're just screwed on and not usable. I was going to try to make a foam out of something a little wider and firmer than the stock foams. |

I spotted some Tamiya military model patina type stuff at the hobby shop today. I didn't have time to read on it if it'll hold up to getting wet or not. I haven't had a chance to google it either...been busy today.

Nope. Out package and to the wheels. Crawler Innovations makes micro foams. I just gave a bunch away last month. Doh!

Good call on those Scrambler tires. The truck looks much better now.

Well, picked mine up from the post office this morning. To be honest, my expectations were pretty low to begin with. But this sub-toy has managed to not even come close to those expectations. Guess it looks cool on the shelf... |

I'm leaning that way, too. There are supposed to be some 'upgrades' coming soon from Banggood kind of like they did with the Orlandoo. But I'm not impressed this far with it. I will get one of the Russian trucks just to have the body (if they get released) and wait for a solid drivetrain...or shelve it for looks. I was looking at the Redcat 1/16 for axles but the tranny will be a chore as it runs a 380/390 can motor.

The Heng Long version is exactly the same, they are just OEMing them from WPL. Hopefully one of mine shows up soon.

Unless you run some giant wheel spacers, it's too wide for 1/24 axles. My son's 1/24 ECX Temper easily fits in the bed of Ma Deuce. Even then, you'll still be trying to push a 2-3lb truck with a motor no bigger than your average rtr servo uses. I think (as Brake Weight and others have pointed out) a Redcat E16 (possibly some other 1/18 scales?) would be the ideal donor.
