No sir

Spent some time with the detail painting and adding of windows. It’s ready for a weathering wash now.

That's pretty cool. I want to do an extended cab on my LC70 6x6. Still in thoughts and planning stages, so no thread yet.

Getting down to the details. Started with flaps for mud.

Then busted out the brown mess of paint.

Subtle weathering. Not every truck has to be a rusted out heap.

Repurposed a Tamiya Hilux step bumper.

Thanks!

Fingers crossed for nice weather this weekend so I can get the truck out for a drive and some photos. Maybe even some video!

What are you using in the rear for shocks? I’m looking to add shocks to the rear of my current leaf spring build and want a small scale looking shock. I bought a set of 70mm old man emu’s but they’re HUGE. Guess I got my mm’s and inches crossed and wasn’t thinking. Just want some dampening for the leafs, I don’t need to look like Uncle Buck going down the trail. Thank you.

ECX Barrage shocks. I think? They don’t look super realistic but they are very short and don’t seem to leak much. Would be cool to make your truck backfire like his car though.

You may call me Mr. Forgetful because I forgot to paint the tail lights. And now I’m late for work because I had to do it this morning. Thank you!

I just looked up ecx barrage shocks and they look like all other coil overs. So maybe another brand or model?

I will look into a good back fire sound module if I can’t get the shocks figured out. Might as well go all out lol. Think I can get a John candy figure to drive!?

Check out the gcm YouTube channel its been discussed there a few times. They are ecx shock but not barrage shocks. I believe it's in one of the comp toy video series he even gives a part number.

ECX Ruckus I guess it is then. Not familiar with their trucks. This is the part I have.

ECX213000. Recommended from me mates at GCM.

You use it without the coil springs of course

I've used the Tamiya SRB shocks as well as the Losi mini-t shocks when I need small scale looking shocks without oodles of travel.

Sorry I made you late for work. It's all my fault I know but...

I bet they look much scaliererer now and I can look at your truck without rolling my eyes and thinking how fake it looks with unpainted tail lights and stuff. Lol

It’s ok I forgive you. I wish one of these 3D printed guys would print so lenses without those massive bolts in them.

Right, so I brung this truck to work to play with afterwards but it got really cold and windy so I only shot a few pictures. No video like intended. Heck, didn’t even put a battery in it. Maybe tomorrow!
