Got the mount for the t case welded up today. Don't think they turned out too bad. Now need to figure out what I'm going to do for protection underneath. Time to start looking for inspiration.

Finally got the skid plate and crossmember welded up today. The first pic is the skid plate that mines is based off. This wasn't my best workbut I'm happy with it. After it's all painted it'll blend in with the rest of the ugliness lol. That's all for now. Til next time.

Got a great piece in the mail today. The rear car back from Shapeways. It was made Mod19rc also Rexracer19. Very well made and fits perfectly. If you're covering a Rc4wd Blazer into a pickup it's a real time saver. Money well spent.

Small update. Decided to cut the grill out and replace it with some kind of metal mesh. Either this is going to turn out really cool or the dumbest thing I've ever did lol. Anybody wanna place bets.

Worked on the grill a bit after work and I think I got it. I bought a metal mesh folder holder to make the grill. Cut it to size and around the grill braces. When I test fitted it, it feel right into place. I even cut the Chevy emblem out the grill just have to find a way to connect it to the mesh.

I love it!!! It came out exactly how I saw it in my head. (Pat on that back lol.) When I put it on the truck it looked even better and with the bumper on it Looks menacing. Just imagine this in your rear view mirror.

Got my headers in from Shapeways today so now I can get then and the spark plug wires installed on the engine. I looked up the firing order for a small block Chevy so the right point on the distributor would match with its spark plug. Scale. I put small jewelry wire inside the rubber tube so it could be bendable to stayin place.
The headers were straight forward and fit perfect. I love how they look especially back in the engine bay. Looks original.

Lol thanks man. Yeah I know. Haven't made the ignition coil yet. Still have some rubber tube left just for that purpose.

Received my bed extension from Shapeways. Mod19rc did another amazing job designing this piece. First test first and everything linedup perfect. Wheelbase was even spot on with no measuring. Only thing I don't like about it is his extension piece makes mine look like crap! Lol! There's no gap in his but mine.....let's just say I have a lot of filling and sanding in my future. Still have to extend the rear of the be to make it a true long bed. I'm dreading that part. Thanks again to Mod19rc rc for making the conversation of these Blazers to pickups so easy now.

Til next time. Thanks for looking

Got the rear of the bed cut today. Now it's a true long bed. I used tape to make the line where I wanted to cut. Used a tamiya scribber to start the cut line. Then used a fine razor saw to cut the body and a mini hacksaw blade to cut the bed floor. Glued everything back together and glued styrene strips behind the cut line for added strength. Sanded down the rear part of the bed that tapers up to make it even and DONE! Just gotta fill all the gaps in but I'm really happy with how it turned out.

Watcha think? Till next time. Thanks for looking

FINALLY!!! Got the electronics hooked up and working. I had a little free time and it was nice outside, so I decided to take my K20 for a test run. It went great for only having front wheel drive. It drives smooth at full speed, turned better than expected, and crawls well. Can't wait to get all four tires turning.
