I believe Duke is saying I will paint the body with any of the options I choose. The truth is Duke is correct...... However the color chosen dictates your options that best compliments the New Bright plastic. treadway I like the idea of the silver as well. I have a thing for silver and white vehicles. I could never see myself running a bare plastic scale rig. Gotta paint em to get depth.

Rattle-can or spray gun?

Either one I suck at painting, and can’t make my mind up about color...I painted my newbright to match the 1:1 (or pretty close). I rattle-can so I can’t mix. I end up scratching the shit out of it anyway....meh

Had to get rid of those hideous side step things that newbright puts on all the TJ’s. Mounted an old Blue Monkey dual servo mount. I will be taking the one out of the rear. I have it there for straight purposes.

Been trimming plastic all morning on my various builds. This one needs a little sanding and the other slider welded on (ran out of small wire). But I’m very happy with what I’m seeing.

Getting use to a different wire but the sliders are solid and tight. So tight they need kick outs!

Default TC’s Trail TJ

Sorry guys.... I have been consumed by one of my other builds. I do have a few pics to post up of where I’m at currently. Still need to sort out the shocks. What’s your thoughts on full interior with Cantilevers or very discreet cut outs with shortened stand up trx4 shocks? The TJ is looking to cool not to get back on soon. This is the cage I have been working on. Not to heavy and fits quite nicely.

Ok.... I have been putting some hours in on the little TJ and I can report some progress.

I decided to commit (for now) to cantilever rear and trx dampers in the front. So I grabbed the black body with full interior tray in tact.

I did some trimming and sanding and added some body protection to the front and rear.

.

I have the suspension in a good place other than the rear uppers and I need to weld in permanent front shock hangers. More to come.

Man, the TJ is looking good. Great job on the cage and sliders.

I have that same New Bright body that has been sitting on my shelf for years and have been wanting to build something out of it. Looks like that chassis fits the body fairly well. I'll have to see if I can get my hands on one.

Looking forward to seeing more!
