| Custom Chassis Beater Bronco
Hello Everyone, Long time member but short time poster here. It’s amazing how much has changed in the past 14 years since I joined this place. This build is a bit of a throw back to 2005. Everything you need, nothing you don’t. No flash, no shine, no outrageous expensive parts. Just a beater rig that was mostly built and not bought. Specs: AX-10 axles, transmission and skid. Homemade aluminum chassis, bumpers and 4 link. RC4WD steel punisher driveshafts RC4WD 1.55 ground hawgs on steel beadlocks, painted all different colors. Castle Sidewinder 3 with Axial 35 turn and Hitec 645 mg servo. Traxxas waterproof elec. box. Beat to hell and chopped bronco body. This truck gets driven by everyone that sees it and it has held up to the abuse. It’s not fancy, it’s not fast but it just works. Sometimes, that’s all you really need. No winches, no 2 speed, no dig, no brushless, No bullshit. Just 4WD fun. Thanks for looking! |

Good hobbying man! ...but seriously, who doesn’t want to drive a 69 Bronco? Going to put a seat in it? |

| Re: Custom Chassis Beater Bronco I haven’t decided yet. Part of me wants to learn how to braze and then cage the back half. Another part of me wants to drop in or build a custom interior. Honestly, I’ve been too busy driving it to care. It’s a lot of fun, which is what this hobby is all about to me.

It does look good as it Is. An understated, double-tubed bumper front and back would complement it’s utilitarian character nicely. I don’t braze, but I would like to start, if only to build some elegant bumpers. | |

Looking good! Nice touch on the body mounts. I'm in the same boat as you, been here for what seems like forever, but don't post a lot. And i also enjoy the old "basics". More function than form works for me
