Uhh I didn’t account for the extra length of the cylinder head so had to reprint everything a little smaller. Going to have to re cut up the new block.

Started working on the truck again. Got the new motor and accessories fitted pretty good I think. Need a way to attach it to the chassis yet but baby steps. I don’t want to rush anything since I want this to be my most scaled truck.

Spent some time this morning into the afternoon doing up one inner fender. My styrene skills are no where as good as some of the folks on here but it will do I think. Just a few holes to patch up and this side is done.

Well after doing the driver side (which turned out way better) I had to remake the passenger side now I feel ok with the inner fenders. Now they get a light coat of spray on bed liner.

The 4rnr is looking top notch! The detail work is really setting it apart. I need a motor like yours... Can't wait for the next update

Thanks bud. I really wanted this done before spring but I’m glad I’m taking my time on this one as it’s turning out better that way by the way I made a new battery tray for my new smaller 3s batteries. Fits right under the passenger front seat now

Finally got the body complete. Took it out in the sun for some quick pics. Still some work to be done with the shocks. And some small under hood details I’d like to do.

So I had to get it out and drive it. I’ve been itching to drive it but I really wanted it done first. Well driving it won. So I got some sweet pictures at a local spot I usually go to. Guy has a great setup in his back yard. The shocks definitely need work but over all this thing is great to drive.

Thingiverse I used the 1/10 working model and scaled it down to fit.

So I’m still in a funk of what to do with the suspension on this thing. Even 80mm emu shocks are not going to work for me. I can’t get the dampening right they still flex the axle out to much. I’m thinking I might have to go coil over shocks on this truck and shorter. So now I’m on the hunt for 70mm coil over shocks...

Well I stared at the truck all morning and decided to do something I’ve never personally done and flipped the springs inside of the emu shocks. Also mad bump stops out of fuel tubing to keep from bottoming our. Might have to either trim the fronts or get softer springs but the body roll is completely gone... truck only has maybe 2” of flex now but for this trail truck I think that’s pretty scaled down. I guess now ill have to test it out soon. I also made an inward shock mount since 4Runners have inboard rear shocks. Didn’t get any pics with the emu’s all mounted up but that’s all I have for my update.

Got it flexed out on my tiny rock pile in the basement. No more nasty roll. Now I can get back to working on the scale details again.
