Awesome - great video too, what camera are you using for your shots? Didn't expect it to make it through that kind of mud!!!

It crawls amazingly well, I’m impressed. Got another video coming soon with some better terrain

Using a GoPro hero 5

It’s not finished really, there’s still some bits I want to do with it but loved driving it so much I couldn’t resist going out again and again!

Here’s some photos of its maiden run at leith hill quarry, Surrey UK

Looking good!

Those RC4WD Goodyear tires suit the vehicle really well.

Thanks man, it crawls really well with them too, I’m on the lookout for a 4.19 that will suit the truck to make it perform even better

I thought I’d take some photos to show you guys how I’ve laid out the chassis. On Sunday a local crawler / scaler group got together at one of my favourite spots and set up a class 1 course, they’re known not to hold back so thought it would be a good test.

The truck has had some teething problems with the front axle, I was running dog bones foolishly thinking more along the lines of a scale truck but this has impressed me, it performed way past my expectations and actually completed the 6 stage course with no assistance - amazing really considering the tiny tyres too. I have some CVD’s on the way

First up is the skid plate I made out of plate steel, inspiration came from the A&M garage skid for the marlin that I have installed. Works well on the rocks and protects the body well.

This is how I’ve mounted the batteries, they work like a clamp and I’ve put some foam on the inners to help protect and grip the batteries. It turned out I didn’t need straps in the end so I may make these again without the slots but it’s working great for now

All the electronics are up front as well as the winch controller

Overhead layout

Side profile showing how nice and low the COG is

Photos from the event aren’t great, I smashed my phone in the week and had to make do with an old iPhone 5 :/

More soon....

Small update, finally hooked up some LED’s to the dash clocks

Some of you may have noticed I changed the front shocks out for a pair of scx10 90mm with white springs - nice and soft. The gMades were a fraction long and the truck was sitting slightly higher at the front. Nice and even now.

First of all, your G Wagon looks awesome! Great weathering and scale detail! Ride height looks spot on!

Secondly, I enjoyed watching your how-to video on rusting and weathering. I have been wanting to learn how to do that for a long time now. I purchased a Marlin Crawler earlier this year and have been thinking about adding a little weathering to it. Your tips should get the results that I am looking for.

Thanks for sharing!
