Really has come together now. Couldn’t resist doing a cheeky little exhaust system using some Brass tubing that I’ve weathered using some paints and the Tamiya pigments

Really completes the rear end nicely.

Lol. That zip tie radiator is awesome. Entire build is, too.

Haha, thanks. The radiator is a little basic but does the job

Externally, I think it’s just about done. What do you think?

I'm not sure if there are G wagon owners that would let it rust that bad since they are so valuable and it wouldn't pass inspections in Germany that way,
but this turned out AWESOME!!! Consider this the missing LIKE button clicked several times)! And you got way more flex out of it than expected!

On a side note: Did you pick the license plate on purpose? "G" = Gera in Thueringen. A Benz needs an "S" for Stuttgart
And a 350 was introduced in 2010 I think and you went for an earlier 80s/90s. Most common back then were 230 G and the 300 GD (Diesel).

Thanks for taking the time to comment and explain the license plate.

I chose G for G wagon and 350 as it just sounded good. However, after now learning from what you’ve said I think I’m going to make a new numberplate for it starting with S. I also have another 0 in the metal badges so will look to change to a G300. Thanks for this. The more realistic the better

Don't get me wrong I didn't mean to be a smart-ass - I admire all the details you did already!

By the way: I once came across another G wagon (don't even remember the brand). Unfortunately it was even smaller than the Nikko one (maybe 1:12?).
So I used a TCS chassis and MRC axles to get it to scale, but it wouldn't perform to my liking - LOL

I saw this on the web the other day and it reminded me of your killer build - not ALL G-Wagens are posh, upmarket SUVs:

I had these wheels lying around so stuck the RC4WD wranglers on them. Little less offset and the size looks much better.

Came out real nice, man - wheel/tire package looks good except the you need to get some dust on the wheels to tone down the shine!

I have the same wheels. If you want to bring them in more. I have found incision wheel hubs fit these wheels.

Hoping to get out with it this weekend It’s been very dry here so thinking of getting them really dusty and spraying flat clear over the top to seal it in
