Cool project "Sidewinder" YJ

all these hilux build are getting me a little bored, so i gotta give some love to my tamiya wrangler. i just had it on the back burner for awhile and now its time to bring this beast from the dead. well ive been contemplating what to do and cant really decide on one thing. as for bumpers ill borrow my designs from jaynens jk rebuild. got a good parts list going that ived save just for her.

parts:

tamiya wrangler body
tlt axles
tlt shocks
rc4wd r2 trans
rc4wd trac gear spools
rc4wd straight axle conv
rcp rear lockouts
rcp knuckles
rcp cvds
tamiya sealed bearings
k2-3s chassis
CAC 1.9 slot mags BL's (thx jason)
rc4wd mud slingers or crushers (havent decided)

stay tuned...

I think I'm getting the RCP axle stuff too, for better steering.

I've wanted to do a K2-3S build-up with a Wrangler for a long time.

This should be good!

well got my rc4wd parts from rcp so had time today to put everything together. i made some new shock hoops design borrowed from fabtechs yj. got the cvds in as well as the rear staright axle conv. rear shocks mounted and fabbed up some 4link mounts. links were made from associated rc10gt steering turnbuckles. still have lotz to do but atleast its a roller.

some poser shots with the body finally mounted, i tried the crushers and they looked overly huge! just added a light bar but ran out of 1/8 rods so the lights will have to chill for now

looks great Mike. I want some of those uper link mounts for the jeep quad!

Can't wait to put on my rcp cvd's and axles. good to see the steering throw on that.

You going to have it ready for the 20th?

Slingers look good tho, the ride height is nice. Maybe some of the new RC4wd scale claws will be out? You gonna repaint the body?
