Looks great dude! looks like the suspension works perfect and the body is killer. The only thing holding you back is those tires, I have a set and they have the perfect look, just no performance I think maybe some different foams (stiffer) might help ? |

Damn, I would almost convert from Jeeps for something like that! You really have an incredible and well built rig there. Everything is cleanly done, and shows how much you care. Top notch build - I can't believe I missed it. |

Nice truck, looks like you have done a great job. I had been thinking about the "smoke" effect in a scaler, thats going to look great when it's running.

ok so I decided not to go with my 1st idea with the smoke stacks. that can still change anytime I want, but I decided to go with a dual exhaust. I completed that today. But to make black smoke I believe you can use diffrent types of oil. I heard people used diesel fuel haha but I am not about to try it! to dangerous!! Also starting to brain storm my idea's about a wire harness for all my LED lights I am going to have. I have a TON!!! I will post again after this to show my wire harness. But here is where I am at so far. I took the ESC switch cut it and added it to my other switch. then I added a whole new switch for the smoker. The clear tube goes through the aluminum almost all the way till the end now. But I may have to cut it back some. Things are getting cramed haha But I think it will still be fine. I am in the process of ordering a better Lipo that is just a tad bit bigger and more powerful just to take up all the space in there! haha Custom bent aluminum pipe bent at a 90 degree to go through plastic. Under fender view of switches Ok so all set for now. I still have much more work to do. Keep you all posted!! Coments welcome. ::::::::::::EDIT:::::::::: ADD ON :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: :::::::::::::::::::::: OK so here are my LED wire's and Harness idea's. I plan on mounting the dark drifter LED light box inside the front box with my receiver. Then I am going to cut the wires from the LED's to the mini conectors in half. Then solder one end to the connector and the other to the ends of the conectors wires. Then plug all the plugs in going through a hole in the box. The LED Ends will be going through the holes i am going to drill all around the truck. Then mount the conector somewhere On the body. So that I will be able to seperate the body from the chassis easily by just one plug. That way I can use my Lipo power from my main battery and hook the Dark drifter LED box directly to my battery plug. then add YET ANOTHER SWITCH! haha Should be Kick A$$ here are the pics. I would love to trim the wheels wells and drop the whole thing. BUT :-( If I did that I would have to ditch the whole interior Someone else posted a pic of there where they did that. It looks very nice. But they had to black out the windows and you are left with no interior or driver. :-( So mine I am still searching for the right driver. It does have that Jacked up look but looks great going down the trail. I also have a TON of room in my rear box to cram all I can in there with the body in the position I have it. So I do not think I will be droping this body down and or cutting the fenders. I am still on the hunt for another hard body that I can interchange with this one. more like a Full size blazer because that would have enough space in the back for my box that is there. Keep you posted on more pics later. I fixed my smoker . I am at work now so I cant post pics but if I have time later I will post a pic and video. thanks for the comments |
