Default Rockedup Ricky's 53

After doing my 1st scaler ( Dad's old work truck ). It was a lot of fun. So I'm starting another 53. This time we'll keep it a pick up. Here's some pics of what I got so far.

K2-4 chassis with a 4 link set up. And I'm going to try droop on this scaler. Here's a shot from the top and the bottom.

I'm doing a 1.9 scaler this time, My mother-inlaw and mom went in on a set of RC4WD rims and tire for my B-day. Now aren't they just to cool.

Mother-inlaw lives down the hall and mom lives up stairs, so I got no choice but to be a moma's boy. The Big old part, thats just me.

I got the tranny in, I put the disconnect on the tranny to the front so I can go from 2 wheel drive to 4 wheel drive.

I cut the bed out so I can do a drop bed. I'll make a working tailgate.

Lookin good Rick I love that you are doing the front disconnect as I am building one too. What colors do you have in mine for the body? Are you planning on having as much detail work as the "Work Truck"?
I will be watching this one close

I want to hold myself back on the detail. But the more I build the more my mind starts turning. As far as color, I'm going to paint the inside rust, Then I'm going to paint the out side silver and then what ever color I decide. I'm thinking something flat. That way the 1st scrach will look like bare metal and the the rust will show after that.

I cut some parts for the rear bumper.

Here it is put together, still got to cap the ends.

Then I put a thin piece over it , it will skcarch up and dent up good later.
