| Yet another NB wrangler build
Alright i'm a major newbie to hobby grade rc's. I have never owned anything nicer than your standard toys r us 9.6v truck. I built this Jeep using an Axial drivetrain with a gd600 gear reduction unit before the tranny because of lack of options for placing everything and lazyness. I plan on making up a hard top out of styrene eventually since the electronics occupy the interior but for now it's good and really fun. Here are a few pictures of it. I might need someone to make them click free since I am a newer member and don't have much for posts if any here is the link to the photobucket LINK some parts are done poorly like the links, but it's more of a basher so i don't really care. main thing is it drives great, is moderately fast, and has lots of torque. |

Keep an eye on your motor temps... I roasted a novak 55t the was run into a gd 600 then mated to a WK trans.. I did swap it out for an Integy gear reduction unit which is working so much better! Good luck! looks great! Love the way the axles fit under the body! |

Wheels: Stock car wheels Tires: RC4wd boggers Pretty much everything was purchased from RPP Hobby I absolutely love dealing with him. And I will post up some better pics of my 1:1 but for now you can check out my car domain. |

Thanks for posting that pic up of the chassis, I just forgot to make a post last night since i had a lil to drink The overall width of the tire to tire outer surface is about 8.5 inches I trashed my ankle falling on black ice 3 months ago and I'm still barely able to walk . I am working on the tire carrier which is nothing more than the bumper you guys saw on the rear with a vertical piece of the same box steel brazed on. After that is done I will build a standard rock crawler front bumper and post the pics up. I also ordered a Bruder Unimog for 35 bucks so I will be building something out of that.
