Default CAC's Crew Cab build....

I started a build a few weeks ago after getting a really good deal on a used High Lift. I've been kinda stingey with the pics during the build so here are a few. Scale 2.05 because I stretched some 1.9 crushers over some 2.2 wheels so I took the average of 2.2 + 1.9 which equals 2.05" (I freakin' crack myself up.....hehe)

I purchased a 6 slot light kit from "Twisted" here on RCC (great deal, great product, and great guy to deal with may I add). I plan to make a light bar on top of the cab to mimic something you'd see on a cop car. I guess I'm kinda going for the "Walker, Texas Ranger" type of rig. Hope you like it so far. You'll have to bear with me on the crew cab for a bit untill I have time to fix my screw ups. Too much :chug: and not enough  hehe....

Thanks you guys! There's alot more to come. The wheels on there now are more or less for "mock up". The real ones will be 8 lug but represent close to the same overall design. I'm thinking about painting the body black after I get the crew cab fixed. Possibly have Mike work his magic on some small graphics randomly around the body. I really would like to have inserts with ghost-like skulls lightly airbrushed with a dark grey (barely visable). This is only the thought of the day though. The other thought is flat black with small bits of slimey green alien skin. (yeah...I'm freakin' weird..... Hehe....)

Nothin' a can of rustoleum can't fix.....

Actually I have some wheels coming back from ano possibly today or monday in black. A few sets of black sinner2's (like on the truck) and a few sets of black 6spokes. All 2.2. Keep an eye on RPP (or reserve a set) because they will end up there for sale. They won't last long. If all goes well, I want to hold a few rings back to experiment with. The black anodizing is beggin' for a few cuts in it. We will just have to see what works.

I messed around with possibly doing coil springs all the way around. After seeing Guido at the Montana Scale Nat's. If you guys have any suggestions or possibly some pics of 1:1 superduty's with this type of suspension post them up. I honestly don't know if they even do all for corners with coils on a 1:1. Just seems like something cool to do.....

those are nice rings!

btw, on crew cabs does the back door have the same drop at the lower window sill as the front? I thought not but could be wrong.

You gonna call me a "F'ing bling" again???? huh???? Just kiddin' Pablo....hehe

I really like the drop down part on the front of the superduty window. I thought I would leave it on the back part too. Just to be different.

No doubt, the wheel tire combo is going to be the biggest eye catcher.

Not too hard. I've done it with both Krazy Krawlers and Crushers. You just put 5 screws in (every other one) and stretch the tire as you go. Then when you have all 5 screws in you just tug on the shoulder of the tire to get the bead to fall into the bead groove. You can tell when you do it right because you can seat the ring evenly by just pushing down with finger preasure. If there is a high spot just use a small allen wrench between the ring and wheel to push the bead past the groove. The bead will fall into the groove before it goes completely past the bead groove. Bood luck and godspeed......

Honestly though, it was easier than I thought it would be.
