Scale Blazer build up Well kinda, its already together. Only took me a few hours. Basicly I bought/traded to get a chassis/body and some parts from a buddy. Added an axial tranny, and axles I had laying around. Some beadlocks and tires from another project I parted out, along with the rooster and lathe from that project. Heres how I got the chassis http://www.norcalbigdawgs.net/Galler...2/IMG_4664.jpg Quick little mock up with all the old stuff removed. http://pnkages.com/gallery/d/8560-2/DSCN3274.JPG Started cleaning up the body panels and chassis with the sand blaster before I redid the center so that I could bolt on the Hot racing tranny plate, tranny, side plates to bolt everything onto. Now its a roller. http://pnkages.com/gallery/d/8596-2/DSCN3286.JPG Its now together and running. Maybe Ill have some action shots soon. I had to order some aluminum parts so that I could correct the steering upfront. Since the front links are so short I had to rotate the pinion up and that made my steering suck. So I have the clockable axle Cs on order and figured I might as well put on some aluminum knuckles while I was at it. |
looks good cant wait to see some action pics |
It looks to me like the front is narrowed. Am I correct? Do you have any pics of the grille and how it was narrowed? I really like it, this build has a lot of potential. |
ITs basicly a tube buggy that has skins on it. There is no grill. Im tempted to buy one and a tailgate and put them on. Im just waiting on some ebay auctions to end. I did put a cowl on the hood to hide the blower hole. |
I wouldn't worry about a tailgate but a grille would be nice. I have a Clod body that I'm trying to figure out what to do with and you may have inspired me. |
Saw this thing in person today and it is pretty darn cool. Awesome concept. I hope to see it all dialed soon. |
well figured id better get paint on it before I get lazy and never take it apart. http://pnkages.com/gallery/d/8604-2/DSCN3287.JPG |
