Default Military troop carrier

Like the title states, Its going to be a 4x4 I dont want to spend the extra to make it a 6x6!
But none the less It should still be pretty cool....Well all I have so far is a drawing, But as soon as I can get up close to the
real deal and take some measurements I will post more..Oh The body will be scratch(styrene) And the suspension will be leaf springs
and rc4wd scale shocks. well heres the pic

Cool, I drove one in the Army. Single rear axle will me the 1078 FMTV. The spare tire goes on the other side. That's a really good likeness for not having one to look at, you got skills. I'll look for some specs, if I can find them again.

Found it.http://www.globalsecurity.org/milita...ound/m1078.htm

No problem. Are you going to make the cab tilt forward to reveal the CAT diesel? How about paint, regular camo or desert?

The cab does indeed tilt forward, powered by the air compressor. The spare tire is lowered and raised by air also. The driver's side has the 3 smaller air tanks and battery box at the bottom and the huge(roughly 24" dia by 36" long)air filter above that. Actually, I just looked at that link I gave you. Either they have the picture reversed, or the 1078 is backwards from the 1084's and others with 3 axles. I drove the ones with 3 axles. I forget the number but mine had a crane on the back bumper. Yeah, go off those pictures, the 1078 is reversed. But if you have any trouble identifying anything in the pics I may be able to help. Wish I'd got some pics while I was there.
