Have you decided what body your going to use so you know the wheel base requirment? Once you know that you can jig up your axels and measure for the links to. You've got some really nice parts put together so far, I haven't built a X Trail so I don't have any comments on your build so far.

The rear end is going to be tubed.... So it should be aight with whatever cab I go with..... Still not sure... I'm gonna run BL and Lipo so the tubed area will have what looks like a fuel cell but will actually be a battery holder...

Does that mean your going to put the battery in the back of the rig? With the tubing and the battery your going to have a heavy bias to the rear. I'm no expert but IMO wouldn't want more weight up front?

I like it so far! After carefully lookin over the photos with the Moab's I'm not sure I want those..... Oh well tons of time to think about it!

Question from a crawler n00b

What's a good BL motor that'll work with my MM ESC?

I used the shock spacers from the TCS X-Trail Hardware Kit, I think it adds a nice touch! It actually put the drive angles at a good angle! But we'll see when I order a tranny and the MIP C-Drive Spline Set.... I'm thinkin the R2 Tranny but don't know if it's gonna work? Anyone got a answer?

Do you need to use those aluminum spacers between your leafs and axles? It seems like it's sitting a little high, and I see some serious axle wrap in your future. Having the axles sit so far off the leafs puts alot of added torque into the leafs and will made the truck hop.

Other than that, it looks great.
Those leafs are trick, and I love the shocks.
I'll look forward to watching this build. Tim.

Those spacers are needed..... It would have put the leaf springs at an awkward angle.... I followed a friends build and he has had no issues so far! If I do I'll overcome it! Thanks for the input!

These leafs are designed as shackle-less set up.

yes they are designed to be shackle-less but if he wants more ground clearance he can use shackles insteed of the spacers.

I still needed them.... The leafs would have had too much stress on them if I didn't..... If it's an issue I'll address it when it comes.... I just picked up a tranny, 2 axles and a set of beadlocks in trade for my DX6.... Another project....
