I have made a new wing/door/and rear panel so the left side is looking much nicer. Just painting it up. Have re-inforced the backs of them with Duct tape so hopefully it wont crease up so much on its next voyage. More pics soon (new camera for christmas too!)

Here's a couple of pics of the latest repair job. Cut the old damaged panel off. (not pretty behind but it works!) Here's the new panel to be fitted. and here's the back of the panel re-inforced with duct tape. New panel fixed in place ready for some paint. Orange i think this time Last edited by Dready; 12-07-2008 at 01:07 PM. |

The best suggestion i can give you is to look how it did it on my tubers Comp tuber Big_ern's aluminum Toy I just use a series of tabs that are drilled and tapped. nothing fancy

I was surprised how it held up with the tape. Easy to change and repair things too. Doesn't look too asthetic but you cant see inside.

Its been a while since i updated this thread so here goes. I used to own a 4Runner! Went to the First London Bash and well got stuck in. Chucked it down a steep bank and it went end over end hard! So instead of giving up i ripped the top off and carried on regardless. But i have started to repair the damage ready for some new paint. Last edited by Dready; 02-01-2009 at 02:34 PM. |

Well after the accident in the park the old 4Runner was looking distinctively secondhand. So new Paint repaired the Damaged Rear Bodywork and added a rear Internal RollCage to protect the Back in the event of future rollovers. Also changed the rear suspension set up with some better shocks. Its sitting a little high for my liking I want a bit of Toyota Sag so softer springs will need to be found or a couple of rings cut out of these ones. I just finished it and looked out the window, and the big Kid in me said ‘Go on take it outside.’ She who must be obeyed thought I was mad but hey hoo only young once. So Marv put his thick coat on I grabbed the Camera and we had a little run. |

I was driving down a step bank i suppose it fell about 4 feet onto the back of the roof. It split down the glued joint so the repair was easier than it looked. But i think it was for the best it dont half look good in red. Stronger than ever now thanks to a handy steel rear rollcage

I think the red is more fitting for this truck, looks like the red that fades to that nice shade of pink on all the old yotas |
