Your front bumper and Winch came out Sweet man..!!! I have actually used Spider-wire ( fishing line) as winch cable before.. wind it all around the drum, and paint it silver.. Looks great..! I've also used picture frame holder wire on a 1:6th scale winch I built in the past.. As far as winch hooks, I bought a Wild Willys parts tree with the driver figure from a vendor on here.. ( It has the winch hook, NOS Bottle, AND old school winch on the tree.. perfect for any scale build..!!!) Keep up the great work on the 4Runner..!!!

Check with your local copy machine repair and go thru their junk machines. You want the scanner cable up under the glass plate. There you will find some nice thin stainless cable with a clear plastic coating on it.

My Boy does a bit of fishing will have a look and see what he has kicking around.
I think i will be able to make a hook out of some brass if i'm carefull with a file, dont really want to buy a wild willy parts tree if i can help it.
I like making stuff for myself there's more of a sense of satisfaction knowing that you have made something unique (cheaper too!)

I also need some back bumper inspiration..............

More progress shots this time of the mother of all rear bumpers!

I wanted to include some protection for the fuel cell
So have extended the bumper downwards and it looks the part.

Its not 100% but its good enough for me.
bit of cleaning up and some black paint and thats another job off the list.

heres the pics.
Neil

It is real its got petrol in it and everything!

As for the pipe either spend some money and buy a pipie bender.

Or and this is how i do it.
Get a piece of wood and put srews in it and bend the pipe around the screws

Works a treat and it doesn't cost anything.

Will try and get a photo up to show you what i mean.
The Pipe Is Solid by the way

Lost me

The only thing that departs round here is the money in my wallet.

The only thing i can think of is your talking about steep banks and getting hooked up?
