Just lov'n the fab work and the build! Sean, I do have a question, your body lines, what tool do you use? I've been using a scribing tool, very rigid and sharp, but my lines don't turn out as defined as yours.

First I make the body out of .100 styrene then I cut a piece of styrene 0.20 as a e.g. door panel and glue it over top of the body and do this with each body panel after that and leave a hair gap between them to resemble panels. This also serves to cover up imperfections in your main body build. In other words I'm making a skin for each body panel. Around the curved areas the 0.20 bends real easily. Hope this makes sense let me know I can always send a picture if needed

Genius! I did this with my M715 for the body lines but didn't think to stop and start them where door jambs would be. Very good idea. Thanks Sean. I'll have to live with scribe lines on this one.....but there's always next time.

I sprayed the body with silver paint, once dry I put glazing putty to fill all the minor imperfection then wet sand with 400#. I use silver paint because it show all the flaws so I can fill and sand. Before I put on my final color.

I put on a final coat of silver to ensure that there is no other marks left before I put on my final color. It is easier to cover up if you are using a lighter paint then the black primer.

Would anybody be interested in having a body built? I haven't decided if I want to do it but would there be any interest?
