Default The Expedition Pajero

It is finally here, sort of. I don't have pictures of the build process since it was done when I was moving and had no internet, but here are some pictures before I paint it and what I am going for.

Here is what I wanted to go for, and exactly how I am painting it; white with the fenders and bumpers black:

With lights:

Roof rack and accessories thanks to RCH Blackfoot:

Chassis:

Four link on the front, works great.

Rear has leafs, but will be changed to a 4 link also:

The paints:

Flex Shot:

So I just have to paint it, and secure the body since it is only sitting on the chassis, and work some minor details out, like the major rubbing on the front, and electronics neatness.

Hope you like it so far.

Looks good I got one in the raffle at MSD just screaming at me to build. Gotta finish the Brat CC first though. Good start

Why do you have all the weight in the rear
Nice build though

Temporary because the leafs wouldn't flex, but I am replacing the rear with a 4 link, so then I will even it out. Thank you.

I just got back from priming the body. So far so good, I think. Here's a picture:

I changed out the leafs and made a 4 link for the rear.

So I got the electronics mounted up, and since it is 4WD now, it is finally a runner. I had to shorten the driveshafts by .25" on both of them to accommodate the wheelbase and transmission placement. I also am going to make a mount for the transmission out of styrene. Do you like my GhettoCAD skills?..
It has nice flex for a scaler.

Looks good, but from my limited experience I'd change the front links so they are more paralell to each other "looking from the side

Yes Gula, I agree. But I don't know if the shaft will clear. I'll try.

That is so cool. With home made links if you get some ali tube (once you worked out the size) and sleve the threaded rod they look really professional. Really like this build. Will be keeping an eye on it!

Paint job is very nice and the chassis looks great but I'm not so sure I like the battery holder. There's got to be a way to secure the battery without the added weight of the holder it looks kind of bulky.
