I was very disappointed in the droop suspension more and more each time I drove it, so I decided to do something about it. My first thoughts were to hack up the K2 chassis as I also wanted more center clearance, but I found that when I added the needed holes, the chassis became weaker and bent right where I drilled my holes. I fixed the problem by building an all new chassis out of steel. I know it will be heavy, but it will do just fine. New projected ride height, much better looking than before- Before- Here's how much belly clearance I'm gaining Been painting the body for the last couple days. Spent today wetsanding everything and then shooting it until I liked the results and then got some poly wheel paint clear coat to slap over the top. I'm hoping that the paint will stay nicer longer, but it doesn't bother me either way. Got the shocks mounted and then the front lower links finished, still need to do the rear links Decided to finish linking it up and seeing what it will look like. A little taller than I'd like, but I will still be able to run the 2.2s for the snowy season so it's all good  Full flex, man the Touareg shocks are short I need to still mount the body, then I will disassemble everything and actually paint the steel parts |

That chrome won't get you home. Why blue? It looks like a blueberry now. |

It's blue because that's what I had and it matches the new pickup |

I miss the old green Chev. This one looks great though, I didn't know you had it in you to make a body look pretty though. Is that wishbone upper working good for you? |

The rear suspension worked pretty good when it was droop with the only issue being that I bend the threaded rod that attaches the wishbone to the axle. I'm sure I did it after I mounted the clod cab and flatbed the first time because it's not light, that's for sure. I have kinda been thinking to bring back the green chev, but it's not in the budget right now.
