Dude, give yourself more credit than that man..!! Your builds are always Awesome to watch as well..!! Good ole' Mikey (1BJB) has set the bar pretty high with his last few builds.....( like his last 15....) I'm just trying to do my best at building this rig, because I'm enjoying building it so much, PLUS I wanted to build a custom one off Toyota scaler that not everyone else has...

The rear "firewall" squares were the easy part actually.... I simply measured out the back so I got the squares evenly spaced apart on the firewall, then I drilled out the 4 corners of each of the squares..( to keep the round corners) then out came the mini cut off wheel. Once the "square" material was removed, I began filing down the rough edges , then I final sanded them, and then I added the filler piece that goes behind the squares... Sounds simple ( and it really was..) it just takes time..

Just Awesome work there 51, if only I had the time!!! I keep hoping for a newer year Taco body to come along so I can make my 02 xtra cab....I may have to just model it and get an SLS made up....

any chance on it being done by the Jeep Jamboree? (if you can make it?)

Default Clampys Gettin' an Interior..!!

Well todays task was to tackle the interior- mainly the dash area and console ( which I knew was going to take a major part of the day to do..! )

Heres where I started from.......

After seeing how cool Mikes (1BadJeepBruiser's) Flatbed Truggy dash AND His "Chino Clone" dash came out, I used them BOTH as an inspiration, and also added my own little twists as well...

After getting it all drawn out, the next task was cutting it out, being sure not to break any of the previously cut lines in the process....

Then I made some side vents, and filled in the rest of the areas that were cut out...It also added a "stock" speaker grille

Then I used a section of a center console I'd been saving forever for that "special" project..and added shifter levers, and filed and shaved it to fit into Clampys floor pan...( still got more to do here...)

Now.........Where did I leave those DAMN Keys.....????????

Ah...... There they are....Found them

Heres how the dash sits as of now.., still got a little left, then its paint time..!!!!

Very nice job on the dash! I spent a good part of the day working on mine, I just sanded and added another coat of filler yeah thats right....body filling the dash Just imagine carving the lower portion of the glove body for about an hour and half. Pics 2morrow

Keep up the good work! That center console is killer. I wish I had one like that for the Atomic Toy :-( I will probably spend Monday making it from scratch.

Thanks for the Compliments Guys- Honestly, I just drew out the lines for the speaker grill on the dash, and drilled (by hand) , making sure not to accidently break over into the next closest drilled hole(s).., I Took my time and just drilled REALLY carefully..!!!!

Heres another picture with Mikey's infamous CD ejecting from the Alpine head unit..!!, and the added passenger side "OH SHIAT" handle..!!!!!!
Still got a few more tricks up my sleeve before I can call the dash done, but its gettin' there..!!!
