The wheel lights in the front are a killer touch, so mad i didnt plan ahead and do them to Tex. Great Job. This ones on my personal favorites list have you thought about using a BEC for powering the lights? I know where you can get cheap units the same size as a Castle and still put out 6V. Its what I used on Fun Buggy and Big Tex for my lighting. just an idea. |

I just went thru all 15 pages and I'm still drooling and picking my jaw up from off the floor! I realy like how you stuck with the "Atomic Toy" theme and added your own little twists, I give this build !

This thing is just about done...I think the only thing I really need to do is ghet some line on the winch and mount the control box. here is the finished bed Hi-lift installed (went with one from Scaleoffroad ) Power tank is in and tool box which hides this And if anyone was wondering what it looks like under the cab...kinda scary |

what about a controller from one of the winchs? you could tune down the V coming out of it with resistors.

this Toyota wow! the interior of this truck is off the charts, i couldn't find a favorite part i liked....brake line, padlock, Power tank, the lighted console, just to name a few i know you stated.....how this truck is becoming rather pricey but people like myself and others, are very glad you spend the money to do build threads like this one when I read & look at build threads like this, makes me want to go build something you are the MAN, very nice |

I did spend quite a bit on this truck, but it was worth every penny as I feel this is my best example yet. I am at the Bloomsburg National Truck Jamboree for the weekend and I think Peterson's 4wheel covers it so I am hoping to track them down and show it to them as they are the ones that originally covered the 1:1 Atomic Toy. -Mike

Hey 1BJB, for your leaf springs have you thought of steel banding or even maybe just the clamps that bind it together? Something like this.... http://www.packagingsupplies.com/metal_banding.html Just cut it to size. Stuff is tough as hell though. Might be to strong for this small of an application. |

So I have been trying to get out to the beach as much as I can, I have to get every penny out of the county that I spent on it! I have been taking the Atomic Toy and friday night we drove out to the inlet where there was a lot of awesome rocks to crawl on. I took the truck out and went to grab my camera and realized I left it at home So I took out the cell phone (EnV touch) which has 3.5 mega pixel camera and shot away in hopes they would come out worthy of sharing. I just got done uploading them and I must say, for a cell phone this thing takes great pics. Hope you guys like them My GF found a lobster claw while we were there, tossed it in the back of the truck O and here is what the GF thinks of the RC trucks This pic is from last week with my regular camera, pretty good shot Thanks for looking -Mike |
