Glad you're getting this rig back under your roof. Great build, and a wonderful read.

This build gave me the motivation to build my most scale Yota. The Shop Truck. Miss that truck. I have an old bruiser frame I straighten still lying around. If I only had the time.

Thanks fellas

Well it made it here! safe and sound. Hal had it displayed all this time so its just as I sold it to him. Hal had popped the toolbox (battery concealment) off to make sure there wasnt any in there before mailing it and it accidentally got left behind, no worries as he is gonna mail it back out. last night I gave it a quick dusting, drew in the body door lines and replaced the SOR side emblems with MThead ones and added the one to the grill. I have a set of pro line swampers coming for it it and Chino leafs, u bolt kit, and some other small things to add.

Really stoked to have this back

dash lights and everything still in working order

stay tuned for the updates

Awwww yeah! It looks great. The interior is killer. Such an inspiration (a few of your interiors have been).

Are the chino leafs ones you had hidden away or did ya get a new set? I'd love to have some for an upcoming build.

Can't wait to see it with the updates.

Those Flat Irons look like they've never seen rocks! Still love those tires, wish they made them still.

unfortunately by me the rocks are slim to none and certainly dont create the tire wear like the slick rock out west

Awesome Mike!!! I'm stoked ya got her back. Some rigs just aren't worth parting with no matter the amount of money. My AT Clone has probably seen more miles than any of my rigs, seeing the 1:1 I messaged ya about at the time was a treat too. Also. It might be a REAL pita, but I'd love to see the hood mount/side holes removed during this 'revamp' Either way Stoked.

And how awesome was it appreciating your work after not seeing it for so long?

That is something I have definitely learned over the years, I regret selling a lot of trucks, this was definitely in the top 3 that I miss the most... It was nice to see it again, it also shows how far some of my skills have come, there are things I have done better now or maybe just differently, regardless its still a badass build.

I really would love to redo the cab, if I do, I would definitely want to fill the side holes and use one of the realistic cab backs from rc4wd. This thing would be a great candidate for a scale drive line with an opening hood... will have to see what the winter brings...

So far now, my first order of business was to update the awesome CadtoChrome wheels... I still love these wheels but the huge 3mm hardware and rings was killing their scale appearance. A quick order into Locked-Up RC and that problem was solved. I opted for their Trail Ready rings, scale hard ware, and scale lug nuts as well. I did have to drill the rings to use the 3mm scale hardware but its a barely noticeable difference. I also opted for some swampers as well, I really like the pro lines and they stick well too. ditched the CadToChrome yota hubs and went with some from RC4WD as well

You may or may not be able to see the new n00b inner fender wells and rad support as well

I went up to Rausch Creek off road park this weekend to do some wheeling in Chino63's old Yota. The fiance and I took a lunch break and afterwards we busted out toy trucks for some wheeling on the comp course, Nicole piloted the Atomic Toy while I wheeled the pig and put the camera to work

The artistic reflection shot

and my favorite pic of the weekend

Oh yeah man. Glad to see it's not just sitting on the shelf. Love the updated wheel/tire combo. It's just right.

Right on man! I saw it on the Facebook where you got 'er back. Good deal. Buyer's remorse sucks, but it's hard to fill the hole that seller's remorse leaves behind. Glad to see it back in the stables!

If I actually had rocks to play on within a reasonable distance my trucks would spend a lot less time on the shelf sadly, there isnt really anything around. I mean I have the inlet at the beach but I didnt get 100$ pass this year because it was closed half the season for stupid plover birds and the parks rangers dont want you out there unless your actively fishing... its crazy to think that wheeling this past weekend I looked more forward to playing with the toy trucks then actually wheeling the 1:1

Yeah man, when I sold it I remember telling myself "I can build it again"... then adulting happened and it never got done...

Thanks! I'm really feeling the new rings, the scale hardware looks so much better.
