Just custom build some bucket seats around the tranny and make a center console to cover the tranny.

Make it out of fiberglass but make 2, one for you and one for me...

I have 2 recaro racing seats that I am hoping to use, once the r2 gets here ill be able to see what I am working with. Worst case scenario I make the custom bench seat.

Spicer did a great job on that chassis

Got any plans for that axial tranny after you throw the R2 in?

Yeah the chassis is awesome, very square and I am really picky about that.

Might use it in my YJ I am building, or in my Jeep J-10 Honcho.

the axial tranny would work well in the YJ. that short WB needs a shallow tranny.

whoa! mike thats bad! a comment to the pretty pictures i saw on the fisrt page, tlt axles bring teh ghey now. 12mm rummys all the way. i dont get why they dont fit but the tlt do? you should bend the shackles and crap to make them fit. after my frame got tweaked and bent from crawlin i had to do that to the rear of mine. it might look tacky but the coolness of OE axles overshadows them. not to hoe out some pics but you can kinda see here:

Not sure whats up with the spacing either, but the whole front end bound up so thats NG. Only thing I can think of doing it cut the perches off the axle and dremeling the plastic shocks mounts a little bit and have them act as the shock mount and spring mount... I am just kind of scared to cut the perches off....

Work is slow today, so I had time to lay some paint. I had to go with a Krylon pumpkin orange because I went to 3 different wal marts and nobody had the colorplace orange This orange is closer to the color of the atomic toy which is cool. Pic is from the cell phone...better pics tonight.

Got my parts from The Crawler Store, R2, 45 turn lathe and hitec 645. I also picked up some Hilux parts from RPP hobby as well.

Drilled out the filler and installed the marker lights

Stefan hooked me up on my last order and through in these bad ass Hilux emblems

Started to paint up some details

Went with the clear back window, even though it doesnt fit as nicely as the tinted one did

I am trying to resist the urge to spray the hood flat black

Next up is to mount the R2 so I can see if I can drop the floor enough to use the bucket seats, otherwise itll get the custom bench seat.

Thanks for looking
-Mike
