Here are the last pics for tonight, time for bed.

Ok so my glove box may not open like I have seen on a couple of builds lately, but my center console does

I am copying your flatbed for my 1:1

The trucks kinda ugly right now but a flat bed and some paint will do wonders !!!!

Not trying to Hijack the thread but the list of mods so far includes:

5:29's
front and rear lockers
dual t-cases
Marlin Crawler suspension system
22r w/ 5speed and Marlin crawler 23 spline kit
35 BFG MTR's

etc. etc. etc.......It has a long way to go but should be sweet when its done.

That interior looks great, your skill makes me glad I didn't get this truck that fateful day in the for sale section. I wouldn't have done it justice

Ugly, shit, Id jam out with that thing the way it is right now! My stepdad looked at an 88 Yota today as a project truck but it turned out to be automatic :-( It had a blown 22re, which didnt bother me cause I could easily drop a new one in at work and have access to a full inventory of factory parts but the auto thing kind of killed it for me. I have been thinking of getting back into 1:1s again...looking for something cheap to build up.

Haha, Yeah, I thought about running it as it was...everytime I buy a truck I tell myself "im gonna leave this alone and just run it" but then the wheels start turning and I just cant leave them as they were...must make mo betterer

I am gonna make sure I am free I *think* I can have this running by the end of week....

here it what I accomplished last night. I am hoping to have the interior done by the end of the weekend, then this week braze up shock mounts front and rear, build a tire carrier, mount scale accessories and make it go..we will see

Gauges are in

Upholstery is done, its a anti-rattle stick on felt kit from Toyota dealer
I hope you guys like marlin crawler shifters, twin stick set up

Center consol it good to go, even has the felt in it like the real Yotas has in theres, even has the 10mm bolts holding it down...ok maybe it doesnt have those but it has the felt

thats it for now, thanks for looking
-Mike

I am a big fan of safe wheeling, I think if you wheel you should have a cage... so I thought, why should this be any different.. Interior roll cage

Shifters are in and painted, I also installed the gas and clutch pedal. Gas pedal is from the camaro model and I cut the brake pedal in half to make the yota style brake and clutch pedal. I still need to finish the CB radio but the interior is almost done

Man Mike, I love the cage. Always wanted to do an interior cage & couldn't figure how to tie it to the frame. You answered that for me.... don't!

I tend to over think things a lil sometimes.

Great build I'm really enjoying it

I love the build. The cage just tops it off nicely.

Sweet cage and a nice design too, loving the little grab handles.

Made of metal?
