These are the last photos I took before paint, it has the modified hummers on it with bic pen cap hubs (they look good I think and were cheap!), glass, and a driver from a blackfoot that I had laying around. There is no room for a full interior so looks like "Ramblin Ron" will do. I am going to black out the entire chassis, and paint the shocks black with black boots. The paint is going to be pale yellow and white, with the wheels getting the same treatment. Saw a pic of a 1:1 and it looked great. It is in paint now so will post pics soon.

I would say there is about 20 to 25 hours in the body alone. I hope this thing looks good with my paint choices, I ditched the yellow today, didn't look right. Went to the store today to find more paint and I found this awesome blue so instead of yellow and white, I'm going with blue and cream two tone. Will post pics when it's done.

AWESOME work! I think the blue and white would look good also.

WOW...awesome body work! You have some great skills "thumbsup"

Post up a shot of how you did those wheels!

Cant wait to see it done 8)

F-150Highlift 11-23-2008 04:55 PM

This is the front wheel, removed the outer lugs and made some hubs from bic pen caps. They look like a regular steel wheel when you remove the lugs.

that's beautiful a true work of art. keep up the good work

pantablo 11-24-2008 11:43 AM

such nice work-how did you remove the lugs on the wheels?

F-150Highlift 11-24-2008 02:39 PM

I just took a number 16 hobby blade, and cut them close them down close and then sanded the remaining off. Then wet sanded. Got the primary color done today at work (blue now) and it turned out awesome. Waiting 24 hours and then doing the cream two-tone tomorrow. I am going to have to take a vote on wheather to leave this thing shiney or weather it. Will post some pics tonight.

akguanja 11-24-2008 02:50 PM

lets see it shiney first, but i just dont think it should be shiney! lol

These are pics of the wheels after paint, and the first coat of blue for the main body. The fenders, roof, and door inserts will be cream like the wheels. Going to do that tomorrow.
