| "I dont know what I was thinking," FJ (6x6)
Got slowed down on my Jeep build and I had a pretty fubar'd FJ body, lots of parts, so I figured why not. The upright windshield of the fj kinda talked me into it. FJ nikko body k2-5 extended pede tranny 55 turn tlt axles hummer wheels rock stomper tires Gonna paint it all Flat black or something dark to cover up my crappy styrene work :-( when I get my safety silv in I will do a tube bed, stinger and sliders. If anyone who has done a 6x6 with rear steer, please shoot me a link to your thread. I know how I WANT to make the steering, but will take any advise I can get. mock up picks: |

thats a pretty cool idea. Without the back part the body looks like a utilitarian truck.

| thanks! I like different. thats what I thought. with a bed on it, I am thinking(hoping) it will work out. If it dont, I can always slap a Uni or a globe liner cab on it, but that wouldnt be different anymore.... |

thanks for the ideas and compliments guys. I am thinking about a linear actuator and a bed that drops down to drive up on and then goes back in place.......but that is prolly outta my league I got it to a roller. Waiting on a couple more tires and a few other parts to come in. more pics in a few. |

looks Great so far Stacy. Microgoat did a pullup wrecker with a working bed, but I am not sure if there was ever a thread on it here or if it was just on Scale4x4. I think he just used a pair of servos to pull the bed both ways.

I may or may not do it. It is gonna be a basher mostly. got the suspension and rear steering sorted out. Gotta add another coat of paint and fix some of the back wall styrene work. | |

That is cool! I gotta build a 6x6 one day... I could be wrong, but i think you want to limit your center axel steering a bit to get it to steer properly |

How about a diamond plate deck with an older style wrecker hook on back. Something like the old Holmes 440.
