Looks great Pablo. You gonna keep the mini wheels and trail doctors as the final combo?

thought about it but they actually look too small with this kind of lift on the body.

[edit, reread what you said. thought you meant the 1.5 with regular TD's on the table. not likely to keep the 1.5 mini cooper wheels and XL's like on the front wheel but I like how big and bulgy the tire looks reduced that much. and those wheels wouldnt be out of place on this either...long term I think I'm just waiting for MSD to produce one of their scale wheels they have in the pipeline. ]

Thank you.

well, I may have to reconsider reduced trail doc XL's on 1.5's...
I bought these for myself since I'd been looking for them for ages...mini cooper aftermarket wheels. Stu first used them, that I saw...

Coming along great! Looks like you found your wheel! Looks like a cool "steelie" Keep it that color or paint it flat black, either way it looks the part I think!

thanks.
little update. its amazing what one can make with just a dremel.

I cut this bracket out of 1"alu angle for the chassis mounted servo.
servo isnt final one here, just for mock up.

also got motor and gru installed as well as transfer case. all mocked up. I'll take it back apart to set the correct screw type and length as well as paint the alu parts.

will make a skid later.

Transfer case is mounted to only one side of chassis currently. not sure if thats going to be enough.

now I'll take a look at the interior to settle on the t-case and any other clearance issues.

That looks really good man, glad to see the proceeds will be going to a good charity since it effects my family as well considering my mom has diabetes.

Thanks.
I may be getting a proper transfer case...stay tuned...

turns out, the 1/8 scale 4dr JK interior fits with minimal trimming (1/4" each side).

its still got some interference with the chassis components so will take a little finessing but should be pretty painless...

outdoor shots coming this weekend, lol...

thanks Justin.

I like the 1.5 wheels too but I think I need to keep it as standard as possible. Whoever wins the raffle may or may not be able to reduce tires themselves so I think I should stick to 1.9's to keep it simple for the new owner.

On another note, I got a package from rc4wd the other day...mmm..

Mud Thrasher tires. VERY sticky and soft...I likey.

they sit nice and scale under the fender flare

they'll tuck nicely.

after these were taken I adjusted the chassis length (it wasnt letting me get the body positioned properly), modified the interior to allow the body to sit lower on chassis, installed new 80mm dual rate rc4wd shocks and set the final body height. I dont have pictures of that but the rear tire tucks INTO the fender...mmm, I likey that too.

There are two similar holes at the bottom. I drilled through the chassis crossmember and screwed the gd to that. it seems pretty solid.

I can try to get a close up from the other ange so you can see it better if you need it.

man this charity build is getting sweeter as completion gets closer.... could you hookup a above shot of the gear reduction? also good thinking on keeping the wheels and tires standard.

here are a few shots for clarification. the body isnt sitting on the chassis correctly since its not attached so the wheels and arches are a bit off. final will have the front wheel slightly ahead of wheel arch.

tuck

gd unit

WOW, that think looks huge. Unless its the camera angle, would you mind posting up a picture of it next to a 2 liter or ruler?
