Talking TCS X Trail prototype Scale Frame Build: War Pig style

Received my X Trail prototype scale frame from Kevin last week and got right to work. Amazingly this thing bolted right together and this is what I have after about 8 hours of work! Definitely the quickest scaler I have ever built. Even better I took it out yesterday and it did extremely well. There’s still a lot of work to do but enjoy the pics for now (lots of em for those who dont like to read...)

Specs:
Axial kit
The Crawler Store X Trail chassis
Sectioned losi rock claws on offset hpi wheels
3racing mini inferno shocks
Highlift cab
Styrene flatbed
35t lathe
Mamba max
Towerpro servo
2100 7.4v lipo

Once I get the final aluminum version I will take some pics of the rebuild so you guys can see its guts. I am also planning on dropping the flat bed and cab down about an inch and moving the shocks to get more belly clearance (thanks Dean!)

I've asked a couple of times and still no answers from others, How wide, rail to rail is the frame and how long is it?

Looks sick though, love the flat bed!

Nice work Brandon! That flat bed looks awesome. I am digging the tool box I just ordered the same type of HPI wheels today from tower, the 6mm offset ones, they damn good . Very cool action shots as well, love the water coming through the wheels

Thanks man, I will have to take the measurements because I dont know off the top of my head. As far as width, check the specs on the axial, the skid plate is the same.

Thanks Mike, you will love those wheels, perfect for the reduced tires. Hopefully I can get out one day this week and drive it some more, its a blast!

Looking great man, better and better every time.

Finish the rear of the bed off like the one above and put a "fuel cell" in between the frame rails and the bed.

Once we get the aluminum to you it will be over the top. This truck will no doubt help sales

I had the pleasure of driving this thing and it works great! It was making some lines that stumbled a tuber and a comp rig. I will have to get one of these chassis when they become available.

Can they be made to a custom length? My 1/8 FJ45 project may need one since I will probably use the Axial axles.

Very impressive! I like it alot. Perfect fit for the chassis.

Did you section the Losi Claws yourself? They look real good on 1.9's

Well no need for a fuel cell now, I lowered the body and bed all the way down to the frame rails last night, unfortunately on the rear I had to cut off the shock towers but the short shocks im running made everything work out really well. I think on the final version I will run the shocks through the flatbed

Yeah, they were alittle harder to do than prolines because the carcass of the tire is thinner, but they work SOOOOO well.

Sweet wheels dude. I was hoping I'd be the first to post up with them. The Losi's look kick arse on em. F'in A man.

The whole rig is just friggin wicked. I love trucks like that, not a bunch of do-dads and roll bars and junk. Just plain, simple, and modified.

Yer supposed to be in school man, better send me that rig so you don't get distracted.
