Default K5 Blazer build

Got a new build going on, just got a blazer body (thanks 51WillysJeep!)

got started on building some custom links. the LHS had threaded rod, aluminum tube and rod ends that all worked together, so I had to take that route.

Glad I did it wasnt too hard to do and they came out pretty good! I bought a set of 1.9 Tomahawks and Chrome stock car wheels;

Love the tires, Hated the rims, replaced them with a set of XC wheels I had laying around. I managed to use the body mount holes that came in the body up front, mounted the body in the rear off of the bumper. Lookin pretty good so far I think, the body is a tad to high but I guess it has to be so that the front tires clear without rubbing during flex/steering

Not sure how I feel about this bumper, what do you guys think?

Hows she look?

Thanks man! Yeah the tires seem pretty good, from the small amount of testing Ive gotten to do so far anyways. I really like the look of them though, a nice scale looking M/T for sure!

Nice simple build. k-5 body looks good with the axial axles. Those new tires are pretty sweet, I was thinking of getting some from RPP the other day, just didnt know what I would use them on . I think the front bumper looks ok, just loose the IFS skid

I'm in agreement about the bumper, the bumper itself looks great, but the skidplate has got to go. I would also cut the lexan stock bumper off also.

I was tempted to do that as well, just havent had the heart to yet. It would help all around considering if I trimmed the fenders to match It would get better clearance in the front too. Ehh we'll see I guess, any other Input on that idea?
