So... it has two drag links? I can kinda see it there in the pic, but its hard to really see with that winch.

i guess you would call it something like a cantilever steering. the original uses a steering gear box with hydraulic assist. 1 steering rod comes off the steering box to the lever/bracket, thats the end you cant see behind the winch. below that is another rod that connects to the drivers side wheel and moves off the push/pull of the steering box. this pic might show more.

WOW I think you did an outstanding job, Looks like it lost a lot of detail. I'd have painted it white or a light grey. This is me just talking out of my ass, but If i wouldnt have seen the build up which is spectacular, the black paint makes it just look plain like any other tuber

Thank you. I agree painting it black definately took away from the frame work but the scale pro's arent making it easy on a new guy

been about a month since I updated this and didnt want people to think I bailed on it so figured Id post a few things Ive gotten accomplished on it.

After I painted it I noticed some weird effects in the paint and that it wasnt sticking to well. I painted the frame the same way I did my FJ project but something wasnt right. My Fj has rubbed some rocks well and didnt chip on me but this was chipping with my finger nail just to easy, I believe my black paint was just old and didnt bake well into the primer. Well I stripped it all back down with Purple power (this stuff is great) and found a member of another club that was willing to sandblast it again for me so now I sit patiently waiting for that then its off for a better paint job.

teaser shot of it sitting on suspension

now after seeing Clampys SB and the level Nluv is taking his Wreckloose I just had to send my engine back to the builders to finish the injector lines and fuel rail.

got my overflow tank built

and redid my rear air tank and battery hold down

also got my Optima wired up

luggage rack/light bar all made up

cant skimp out now ...... made my headlights (this i wouldnt wish upon even my worse enemy, took some brain work and the right model parts)

draw

fit the light bucket

cut and file

twice

wire

and finally paint

and the lovely windwhield

and window sealer

got curious about aluminum steering blocks and noticed the resemblance in the RC4WD ones and some stock TLT ones. i just knew this would be a weak spot for me so better to fix it now then after i break one.

measured up the stock ones

measured up some TLT ones from TCS

perfect match!

well theres definitely more to come ............ thanks for watching

CRAZY build and attention to detail.... I spent some time eye ball'n the 1:1 real rig at SEMA this year and noticed the rear panel that houses the tail lights flips down and thats were the battery is stored...

WOW great job. you know that you have a real problem right? this is an insane build with such attention to detail. i am also currently building a tube chassis that is similiar to the wreckluse and timberwolf, about a month to go. i know the details are hard to get right. and since the start of my build i know that i have a problem as well.

Hi my name is c.kisner and i am addicted to "rc crawlers" not sure if i can ever be clean. but recognize my problem, thank you!!

keep up the awsome job!!!
