|  hi lux transmission options
Im looking forward to get a hi lux and i want to make it scaled but the transmission is in the way of the interior. I want to keep my 3 speed so what are some options on the transmissions so i could put an interior in the car.

i think i would lose the three speed, and get one of rc4wds two speeds

divorced tcase-mod it so the 3speed is under the hood and connect it to a tcase under the cab

Dont know if anybody else tried this, but on the front face of the gearbow there is 2 holes about 3/4in apart under the spur gear. if you drill these out you can fit a motor on the front side of the tranny and get it a few inches lower. Only works with the stock gearing though... I spaced my motor away from the plate with spare axle links drilled through all the way and cut to the correct length. |
