Close to it. It was only driven once from what i was told and i believe that. it's all original with nearly a mark on it.

I assume you are referring to the spring shackles? actually both shackled are to the rear of each spring pack. Why is it that way? well it is said that it gives a better ride on the street because the spring and shackle flexes with each bump instead of into a solid mount. now as far as performance, weather good or bad, the shackle causes the front axle to stretch down and forward during climbs essentially extending the wheelbase a little. unfortunately it does the same for the rear. But the real reason i did it that way? because the real truck is like that.

I got one of those gold tub rc10 buggies in a trade back in '03. Great car. But the gold drove me crazy and I ended up stripping it and powder coating it matte black. EEK! lol! I like the results much better. Need to find some time to get it together now.

Have you written anywhere about the molding process? I'd like to make a mold for a body.

Absolutely amazing work, truly an inspiration. Thank you for sharing so many details to help us learn with you. Funny thing about the rc10- that gold panned beast got my dad and I into the hobby =D. Good luck!

here is what i found on youtube... i know he made a how-to on one of his threads on how he makes the actual molds.. i think makes a box around the panel on a hardbody then uses plaster and makes a mold, then uses the plastic mold to make a resin mold or something like that..

these vids show how he forms the panels once the molds are made

I tried hand forming some tail light buckets last night and let's just say it takes a looooong time to get it nice like he had it. I used a plastic forming tool, but I strongly recommend a bone tool. It won't mar or damage the metal, and it won't get damaged quite as easily as a plastic, delrin or composite one will. You got skill, brah!

i cant say anything thats not already been said. You have taken scale building to the next level for sure. The attention to detail and the fact that you would even go as far as to make the fire wall, bracing, etc exactly like a 1;1 is mind blowing. This is most definately museum quality. You sir are a master with metal.
