well...a friend of me gave mi some very, very ugly toy car...it was purple, with camo stickers, BIG bumpers and a small chrome jetplane on the roof...but it also had complete interior, which happened to fit quite well into the bug (some cutting was needed of course)...i added two small speakers connected to the mp3player to the back plate and a cute driver ti the steering wheel...i made it all quickly, because we had expedition on saturday, so i did not manage to paint the interior, and it is still completely chrome...but this will change and after that, i show you more pics...for now just these 2

just a small update...working on lights...long time I was thinking about how to make lights on this body, since it was painted from inside...i did not want to drill just holes for LEDs...finaly I got broken toy from a friend of mine...it was a 1/12mabye14 New Beetle and i foud out, that front light match thle lights on the Kamtec body...decision was easy and i used rear lights too...they are complete with light buckets and are glued to the body with some loctite and secured by hotglue...i hate hot glue...it is so messy...but works quite fine...
what do you think about transplantation result?
oh and the ramp is made by 3racing...

I agree, those 1.5 mini cooper wheels, the older style, will be perfect for that!

I also agree you should ditch the spare. I would move the spare tire from the rear to a roof rack.

Instead of 1.5 wheels you could also do 1.7 wheels like these out of F150 tamiya wheels (sorry for the big pic)

Unfortunately i do not have video of this little thing, maybe later. I'll take some pics of the interior, it's taken from a ugly toy and painted flat black.
Pantablo thanks fot the links and ideas. I think i'l get some 1,55 for it soon, but till then, the wheels and tires are gonna stay, the rims are from VW Touareg, so they are at least the same maker I am still thinking about a roof rack, but first i have to get some torch and learn how to braze...which is gonna take some time. And the spare is probbably gonna stay in the back, puting it in tho roofrack would raise the CG a lot and it would ruin the stability. I am now thinking about some faster motor/lipo capable ESC combo, because it moves really slow with stock electronics.

Here are some pics from holiday on Sicily. Its awesome island and sicilians are great people...with terrible driving habits... ...definitely gonna get back there soon.

Still going strong...
Vdub got new wheels and tires, roofrack with luggage and lost the spare with mount...it was too much of an anchor and got stuck everywhere...

Cool! Great job. Kinda remind me of a 1942 Kommandeurswagen - German for Commander's Car. The VW Type 87. Where'd you find the Kamtech body?
