I needed to build up some sort of "aluminum" diamond plate tool box for the bed, and then start adding goodies to it.. Nothing real fancy here, just your basic styrene box..( that will open up). For the sides that won't be visible once installed, I used plain styrene, and for the rest I used some "diamond plate" styrene card.

Heres the first "test fit"

Everything fits like a glove, so now its off to paint..

I then had the chance to finally install the headlights .. ( still need to wire them up..)

I "splurged" a little bit on this truck, and purchased one of Stefan's Kick-ASS looking "Scale Offroad" Hi-Lift jacks, which will really complete the overall realistic look once installed in the bed..

And heres how everythings taken shape in the back.. More to come soon

very cool build. where did you get these hinges from for the tool box?

thanks for sharing

You're going to have to rebuild this truck since Peterson's is rebuilding theirs. This and Clampy are still my 2 favourite builds on here, but everything you build is so clean and not overloaded with unnecessary stuff.

Thanks man.. If memory serves me correctly, I simply super-glued the custom grille into place, then from the back side reinforced it with hot melt glue, which worked perfectly.

Thanks.. Honestly, I'll have to pass. I've got alot simmering on the fire at the moment, so much so that in fact I can't even get my own projects up and going lately.. Contact "Pardonmyn00b" on here.. I hear he does some "OK" styrene work...
