I was unsuccessful at making a grill like that. Dude, you are the man making a scale pre-1981 Chevy.

Man Chris that grill came out very nice. The circle headlights look a lot better than the stock original square ones.

Thanks Guys Got a little more done on the ole' K-10 the last few nights... So I went ahead and "sanded" the "paint" down to bare metal yesterday afternoon, and then left the truck outside the shop overnight uncovered, and it somehow got rained on, and when i saw it first thing this morning, it was ALL rusty..Damn, that was FAST !!! Damn New England weather.... I also just got this In the mail - it will look PERFECT up on the front bumper..!! ( once its been custom made that is..) I also just wanted to check how strong the body set-up was with the mix of lexan and styrene, and so far, so good.. - Its DAMN strong... more to come soon.. ( Hopefully it won't see MUCH more of this wheels up action when its all finished and painted..!!! - LOL ) |

Small update from today... Finally had the chance to button things up on the bed today.., Before finally attatching the stepsides, i had to sand off the rest of the maroon paint.. ( Brake fluid wouldn't touch it at ALL for some strange reason..) Remember how i said this truck was gonna have a "Period Correct" super detailed tailgate..?? Hows this..?? I just HAD to spray it yellow before I installed it, just so I can get a feel how this trucks gonna look painted..!! Also got some real Chevy taillights installed too.. Also got the bedrails sanded down and installed, and i also got to add a TON of inner bracing on the underside of the bed for strength (not shown) Its starting to really take shape now.., next up is the Cowl Induction Hood.... Stay Tuned..!! |

| Thanks Bro.. LOL- Thanks, well- i'm sure you'll be glad to hear then, that the cab is going to be painted Yellow on the OUTSIDE of the body, (VERY shortly i might add..) covering up all the "rust" and "scratched up" effect thats already been painted on the inside.., ( I honestly don't really like the way the cab looks right now either..) Once the truck is all said, and done and finally out wheelin' and drags the side of the cab down a rock ledge, the real scraped away yellow paint on the outside will then reveal the copper, and silver underneath, for the "scratched and rusted" effect... Thanks for your opinion though, I always like to hear what people think of my work..! |
