Default ***Kyosho 4Runner***

Well I am going to give the scale route another go. I have been wanting a 4runner body for a long time and finally came across one. The paint/masking isnt in the best condition but the rest of the body is okay for me. This will be a beater, no shelf queen so that is why I wasnt worried too much.

Plan for parts:
TCS x-trail chassis
TCS delrin skid drilled for and R2
R2 tranny
Kyosho 4runner body
Axial axles
Integy 1.9 wheels
1.9 Proline Flatirons
Handwound 35t motor
Castle Sidewinder

Well I got my package from Kevin at TCS the other day and here is where I have gotten it to. The skid was perfectly cut, drilled and tapped. Ready for mounting. The chassis looks fantastic powder coated black. One thing that suprised me was to see the option to countersink your lower links

Well got the body mocked up to make sure the wheelbase was correct. Now to actually get it mounted

I plan on doing some sliders and some tube work to protect the rear. I am wanting to do something like a warn bumper up front but I have not seen any good pics of any 1:1's so if you have seen any and can help me out, please post them. thanks and stay tuned

its around 7 3/8". TSS bumper is nice but I am looking for something a bit bulkier. I have looked at the proline bumpers and may pic those up. the front bumper is 7" wide

Right now I am going to go with the stock bumper until I can bring my self to cut the bumper from the grill because they are one peice

wheels and tires look dead on for the width of the body
if you want to clean up the paint allitle you could put a coat on the outside.

not much of an update but i finally got the wheels mounted (only 3 nuts for now). These are the gunmetal color but they may get painted black.

the windows got remasked and a new coat of paint on them to help define them better than they were. It isnt perfect but oh, well.

I am going to try and start on the sliders and the front this week if I can find time. I am still torn between either a warn style bumper or something similar to what 1badjeepbruiser did to his 2.2 4runner here (~7th pic down)

Tires and wheels look good. Windows look a lot better as well... TwistedCreations built that bumper, if you want more pics of it let me know.
