ok well this project hasn't been on hold my wife just lost my camera. i got the body work done and bumpers finnished and since i glued the tires i have been happily beating the crap out of it. i am extremely pleased with the overall performance of the truck, and tires. i put slightly stiffer foams in the front rims and left the rear stock. tires grip unlike any other scale tire i've seen. front suspension has loosened up and it flexs out nicely. i can't wait to go to the augusta comp and put it through its paces. by far the best performing truck i have built to date. i still have a lot of work to do to it to finnish it but i like playing with it as i go so im in no rush. i have to do the windows, paint the details like tailights, windo rubbers, rust ets, plus build the inner bed and rock sliders. plus a couple other projects are taking up space in my work area. here are a few pics.... |

ok well with the scale comp in augusta in a couple days i really got to work on this puppy. got the inner bed done, lights, light buckets, antenna, doing the detail painting now, and next is the windows. i really feel happy about the outcome of the project. as soon as i get some time to run out to the lhs i am going to pick up some styrene for the interior as well. hopefully i can spare some money for some smaller lipos next month. thanks for all the kind words and enjoy sometimes good ideas come from lazy people.............example tailight housings and latch penske shock decals i found in my big box of old racing decals getting ready for windows got a simple skid made lights hint: if you scotch brite of sand led lightly they will glow more and beam less little black paint and loose sand and more black paint....vuala! bed liner antenna simple y-harness with plugs for lights Last edited by looneybin; 03-25-2009 at 09:25 PM. |
